By Tech Online Things

VARNA, BULGARIA – OCTOBER 13: Rescued sailors from a ship attacked by a drone arrive at Varna port on October 13, 2026 in Varna, Bulgaria. Two merchant ships have been struck by drones in Bulgaria’s Black Sea exclusive economic zone, with the source of the attack unconfirmed. According to Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev, it is believed that one of the ships has sunk, with one crew member rescued and a search ongoing for others. Seven Ukrainian and eight Azerbaijani crew members were rescued from the second ship, the Ukrainian-owned Chelsea 3, after it was damaged in the overnight attack. The incident comes after a similar attack on October 6. Radev has summoned the Russian Ambassador to Bulgaria, Eleonora Mitrofanova for a conversation, after he said it appears the strikes would benefit the Russian Federation.
