India proposes stricter driving licence test, faster online updates

The road transport ministry has proposed a tougher assessment for driving licence applicants, including raising the pass mark for a safe-driving tutorial to 75 per cent. The draft also promises faster, cheaper updates to licence details, with Aadhaar-linked online services potentially made free and rejection decisions required within 15 days.
